PEDIGREE CATTLE.
PURCHASES IN AMERICA.

WELLINGTON, this day,
Mr. C. E. Robertson, manager of the stud department of Wright, Stephenson and Company, Limited, arrived by the Makura from San Francisco to-day. ±Ie said that he had bought approximately 40 head of pedigree cattle, including stock of the Polled Hereford, Polled Shorthorn Aberdeen Angus, horned Hereford and Jersey breeds for breeder clients of his firm in the Auckland, Gisborne, Wanganui, Wairarapa, Marton, Canterbury and Southland districts. The cattle were on their way. Some were coming from JNew York and some from Los Angeles. In America he motored 8000 miles, flew 3000 miles and did 3500 miles by rail. He iudged by invitation the Aberdeen Angus cattle at the lowa State Fair, the third or fourth leading show in Amnrica.
