FISHERMEN UNITE.
TRADING ASSOCIATION.
A recently-formed organisation, the Auckland Fishermen's Association, Ltd., has acquired premises at the corner of Halsey and Madden Streets, Freeman's Bay, which are to be converted to provide cold storage for 50 tons of fish.
Tlhe owners of 20 of the largest seinenetting boats in Auckland and of two 49ft llin boats (the maximum legal size for seine-netters) now being built have formed the association wM3i tho object of marketing their fish on a co-operative basis, and of developing a market for their catches dn Sydney. The cold store will be used to hold fish awaiting shipment by the intercolonial vessels.
