YOUNG MAN FINED.
SEQUEL TO COLLISION. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PAPAKURA, this day.' Stanley Christopher I>e. of Otahuhu, a young man, employed as a truck driver, came before the Papakura Court this morning on a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a ear M Papakura at 1 a.m. on Sunday. Mr. R. W. F. Wood appeared tor accused and pleaded guilty. Constable R. Wilks, of Papakura, said he was called to the scene of an accident at the Presbyterian Church at Papakura early on Sunday morning and found that accused's car'hat! failed to take the bend and had run into a large bus coming from Auckland with a party of footballers. The car ended 'JP against a wire fence across the road. Accused was intoxicated, but it was not really a bad case. _ Counsel said Lee had an unblemiaUjS record and never took drink while at his work-. His livelihood depended on his license. Mr. T. F. Snell, J.P., imposed a fine of £->, with £1 18/ costs&
