LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
WAITANGI SHIELD MATCH. The third match of the season under the auspices of the New Zealand Maori Control Board will take place on Wednesday, when Tamaki (Auckland) will defend the trophy against the challenge of Waikato. The shield-holders expect to field a good all-round side, although without the services of Lou Brown, who is on tour, and Watene, who was injured on Saturday. The Waikato Maori Rugby League i: reported to have a strong side.
