LABOUR PARTY'S FOIiICY.

THAMES, Monday.
Mr. J. Thorn, Labour candidate for Thames, addressed • a large audience in the Regent Theatre last evening, receiving a patient hearing. Mr. C. J. Garland presided. Mr. Thorn diecussed the formation of the Coalition Government and denied that the Labour party was invited to join, in the Coalition. He criticised the present Government's attitude towards the solution of unemployment and other,important problems, and explained at length tlie efforts of the Labour party to prevent-an extension of the life of Parliament without a mandate from the people.
After questions had been answered a vote of thanks and confidence, moved by Mr. t>. Alexander and seconded by Mr. J.; Nightingale, .was carried.
