TECHNICAL OLD BOYS. The Technical College Old Boys' Athletic Club held its annual crosscountry championship on Saturday from the home of Mr. \V. West, 7, Parau Road, Mount Roskill. Both Junior and seuior events were held together. E. J. Laird and D. Ohms laid the trail, leading from Parnu Road across country to the tram terminus, down May Street, over Mount Roskill, out to Richardson | Road, along Richardson Road and up to | the Three Kings School, and from there | over the Three Kings to the finish. I From a good start Spencer and Harding ' went to the front, but Spencer soon fell '• back, and passing the terminus Harding i had a clear break from Nicholson, Brierly. Wade and Barker, with the rest of the field bunched. Positions did not alter much during the race, and coming over the brow of the hill Harding had a good lead, which he Increased to win from Nicholson and Brierly, who had a great race, to finish on even terms. Brown also won the junior sealed handicap. No run will be held next Saturday, the run for that date having been transferred to August 24. BAPTIST CLUB. The first annual championship of the Auckland Baptist Harriers' Club was bold on Saturday in line weather. A road and country course of five miles was from Avondale, along the Blockhouse Bay Road, thence across country to Karaka Bay and back by way of the New Lynn brick works. The trail was laid by D. D. Knight and W. R. Armour. Fifteen starters were divided into four teams. Results: —15 team (A. Carbines, W. Fountain, D. Ellinghain, F. G. Furness), 34 points. 1 : C team (R. H. Busfield, R. Wilson. J. Turner. W. ReevelyL 19 points 2; A team, 22 points, 3 ; D team, 24 points, 4. WAITEMATA LADIES' CLUB. The Waitemata Ladies' Harrier Club held its championship race, the weather being clear and cold, and ideal for harrier running. The course was three miles and a half, consisting of cross-country and road. The going over cross-country was very heavy owing to the recent rains. The results were as follow:—Fast pack: Iris Good. 28.0. 1; Joan Salt, 28.55. 2; F. Nelson, 37.0, 3. Slow pack : Phyllis Good, 30.15, 1; D. Clewett, 37.0, 2; Hilda Clewett 3.

A sealed handicap was held in conjunction with this race. Results were:— Fast pack: .Toan Salt, 1.30, 1; Iris Good, scr, 2. Slow pack : Phyllis Good, scr, 1 ; D. Clewett 4s 2.

A.U.C. CLUB. The University Harriers had a well attended rim from the Three Kings school. It was excellent harrier weather and the track was in good condition. The medium pack, led b,v J. C. Graham, coversd about 8 miles, while the fast pack, under the leadership of 11. T. Jellie, had a fast run of about 6J miles, chiefly crosscountry. In the medium pack. Maxwell and Ingham were well to the fore, while in the fast pack, Mackenzie showed unexpected form, coming home first after a herd struggle with Francis and Stephenson. A 100-yard sprint was held prior to the main run. the placings being:—Ziman 1, Ingham 2, McKenzle 3, Bagerie 4, Graham 5, Maxwell 6. Stephenson is at present leading for the Kohn Cup with 22 points, with Maxwell runner up with IS. PRESBYTERIAN CLUB.

The Presbyterians ran from tlie home of Mr. and Mrs. H. ,T. Wilderspin, Cremorne Street, llerne Bay, over a course of approximately seven miles. The results of the runs in were :— Slow Pack. —Constantine. Miller, Budge (inter.), Devitt, McGill. Intermediate Pack.—Rice, Hancock, Elder, Williams. Fast Pack.—Neil, Wilderspin, Holden, Robertson. After afternoon tea the club tendered its heartiest congratulations to Gordon Davidson, who had completed his one hundredth harrier run without missing one Saturday. This was achieved over a period of five years, three years with the Calliope Club and the last two with the Presbyterian Club. LYNNDALE CLUB. The Lyniulale Harrier Club held a special training run from its headquarters at Avondale on Saturday. A 75 yards sprint, held before tlie run, resulted as follows:—C. Davidson (ICyd.s). 1 : W. C. Brereton (16yds), 2: R. Croinpton (12yds). 3. Won by a foot In a good finish. Time, 7 l-ss. All runners of this club will be competing in next Saturday's big race, and must catch the 2.0 p.m. boat for Birkenhead. '
