PHILISTINE CLUB.
A delightful programme was presented at the fortnightly meeting of the Philistine Club on Saturday evening. The guests were received by Mrs. Craven, in Burgundy matelasse crepe, and Dr. J. W. Craven, who acted as chairman.
Among those contributing to the programme were: Mrs. H. Gordon and Mr. Frank Sutherland, who sang; Miss Althea Parker and Mr. W. McKail Geddcs, who produced a short sketch; Miss Kathleen Coleman, who rendered monologues; Mr. Trevor de Clive Lowe, who gave 'cello solos, and "Kardo" (Mr. C. Morris), who gave an exhibition of magic. Miss C. Armour, Mr. Eric Maxwell and Mr. L. Luscombe played the accompaniments.
