TONNAGE RECORD.
PORT OF NEW PLYMOUTH. FOUR OVERSEAS SHIPS. (By TVleKrap.h—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. A new tonnage record for the port of New Plymouth was created to-day when four overseas vessels were berthed. The ship? were the Tamaroa. the Doric Star, the Port Huon and the Hauraki of a total tonnage of 37.929. exceeding by 4019 tons the previous record established in February, 1933. Tp-day's record was made possible by the diverting of the Port Huon from Wanganui on account of rougli seas off the river port.
