ST. JOHN'S COLLEGE MARATHON

Tho annual road race for the Marathon Cup was held yesterday under unfavourable conditions by sliidenis of St. John's Col It-no, and resulted in a win for \V. l>. M. Harbour, off the scratch mark, in 21.04. Next to finish were W. iieecli (1.30), -J3.14, and C. Guinness (1.0), L' 4.14. There were seventeen competitors. The winner's time was the nearest set up to date to the record of llo.iili set by the Rev. Barnes in 1024. Last year's winner was E. 11. Newman.

WESLEY CLUB

The Wesley Harrier Club will hold Its annual church teams' nice on Saturday, commencing at -.30 o'clock from the Mount Albert Methodist Church, Mouut Albert Road.

UNIVERSITY CLUB

The University Harrier Club will hold n run from the Three Kings terminus, on Saturday, commencing at u.ir> o'clock.

TECHNICAL OLD BOYS' CLUB.

The Technical College Old Hoys' Athletic Club will hold Its annual cross-country championships on Saturday from the homo of Mr. W. West, 7, I'arnii Rontl, Mount Itoxklll. The course of (1$ miles will lead from Mount Kosklll to the tram terminus, over Mount Koskill towards Wnikowhal, turning back towards the Three Kings over one of the hills to the finish. Both junior and senior championships will be held, and scaled handicaps will be conducted in conjunction with both races.

In view of the Centre race on the following .Saturday, the run from 2, Domain Street has been postponed until the following Saturday, August 24, displacing the run scheduled for that date.

BAPTIST CLUB.

The first nnnual championship teams' race of the Auckland Baptist Harrier Club will be held on Saturday next, the course of five miles to bo from the Avondale Baptist Church at 2.45.
