HIGHER THOUGHT CENTRE
' There was a large attendance of members and friends at the fortnightly social of the Higher Thought Centre conducted by Mr. and Mrs. Dickens in the hall in Wellington Street, on Tuesday night. Bowls of jonquils and Iceland poppies provided a cheerful colour note. Songs by Mise Verla Hynes, and elocutionary items by Miss Connie Hubbert were very much appreciated. A Monte Carlo was won by Miss E. Green and Mr. J. Rutledge. Dance music was supplied by Miss White, Mesdamee McCune and Goldie and Meeere. Chambers, Nielson and Preston. Supper served by the hostesses, Mesdames Green and Deverick, brought a most enjoyable evening to a close.
