DEBATING CONTEST.
A' contest in the third round of the Athenaeum Cup competition took place at the Y.M.C.A. last evening, between the Y.M.C.A. Club and Training College A. The latter, represented by Miss Ecklin and Messrs. Litt and Jackson, affirmed "That the British Empire is Disintegrating." The Y.M.C.A. team, comprised of Messrs. R. W. Miller, A. McKay and R. H. Langdon. prevailed by 265 poinU to 238. Mr. J. W. Yarnall was. the adjudicator.
This was Y.M.C.A.'s first win of the season, defeats having been sustained Previously at the hands of Training College B and Junior Chamber of Commerce B.
