PLUMBERS' DISPUTE.
Regarding the dispute between the employers and plumbers, wh/> failed to reach agreement at a conciliation council this week, Mr. W. E. Anderson, secretary of the Employers' Association, stated this morning that the employers had offered 2/1 an hour for journeymen plumbers, whether they were registered under the Plumbers' Registration Act or not, and 1/11 an hour for gasfittere, while the workers demanded 2/1 an hour for both. The parties were also unable to agree on several minor points, but it was thought that these would have been adjusted had agreement been reached on the wages question.
