MUSIC CLUB.
Last Thursday evening the members and friends of the Aida Melody Club met at the studio of Miss Madge Higgins, Onehunga. The large room was artistically arranged with bowls of daffodils and Iceland poppies and a cheery log fire gave an additional touch of brightness and warmth. A very interesting talk on the life and music of the Norwegian composer Edward Grieg was given by Mrs. B. Clark. Songs, pianoforte solos, duets and quartets illustrating the composer's music were rendered by Mrs. W. Everitt, Misses M. Thorpe, E. Hijrgins, M. Jackson, E. Wolfenden, E. Blakey, E. Billany, E. Meyer, B. Warren, E. Dempsey and Master G. Marshall. Elocutionary items were rendered by E. Rosser and A. Leathes.
