The oldest building in Britain is Stonehenge, which was constructed more than 3000 years ago by early inhabitants of Britain. There are several of these circles of giant stonee in the country. Another is to be seen at Boroughbridge, where the pillars are called the "Devil's Arrows." They were used as temples by the Druids, whose great religious festival was on Midsummer Day.
