Mr. W. H. Glimmer returned from tlie South this morning.
Mr. W. W. Massey, M.P. for Hauraki, left for Wellington last night.
Mr. R. A. Singer is leaving for Christ church hy this afternoon's express.
The Hon. L. M. Isitt, M.L.C., of Canterbiuy, is leaving for the South by to-night's Limited.
Mr. William Cunningham has been appointed assessor for the Canterbury Land District.
Sir Benjamin Fuller has arrived in Wellington from Sydney on a business visit to the Dominion.
Mr. A. R. Galbraith, Christchurch city engineer, has returned to Christchurch after a visit to Australia.
Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Atkins, of Parnell, are to leave by the Mariposa on Friday on a visit to Sydney and Brisbane.
Mr. J. Lowe, general manager of the Auckland Gas Co., Ltd., returned yesterday by the Ma ram a from a visit to Australia.
The Rev. A. Homersham, of Goulburn, New South Wales, arrived by the Marama yesterday to conduct retreats for clergy in Auckland and Chrietchureh.
Mr. R. C. Wilson, M.A., B.Sc. science inaeter at the New Plymouth Boys' High School, has been granted leave of absence from December next. He inteds to be away about a year, visiting England and Europe.
Mr. T. U. Wells, chairman of the Auckland Education Board, leaves by the Limited to-night for Palmerston North to attend a meeting of the Massey College Board.
Mr. D. S. Chalmers, of the staff of the Bank of New Zealand at Onehunga, has been transferred to the branch of the bank at Waipawa, Hawke'e Bay, and will leave next Monday. He has been leader of the young inen"s Bible class at the Onehunga Presbyterian. Church.
