AMATEUR ATHLETICS.

AUCKLAND CLUB. The Auckland Amateur Athletic Club held its usual competitions in the Domain on Saturday. The course was much better than last week and times were improved all round. J. W. Savidan won the 6000 yards steeplechase in great style after conceding up to 4.40 start, actually well over a lap of the course. The club championships in the A, B and C grades were decided on the day's run in the 6000 yards. The winners were: —A grade, J. W. Savidan, 19.C; B grade, H. Hustler, 22.27; C grade, J.
