CONVERSION CHARGE.
SEVERAL CARS INVOLVED
YOUNG LABOURER'S ARREST.
Arrested yesterday afternoon by Detectives Mills and Davis oil a charge of unlawfully converting to his own use, at Palmerston North, on .Tune 13, a motor car valued at £400, the property of Robert Howard Crawford, John Henry Wilson, a labourer, appeared in the Police Court this morning.
Senior-Detective Hall obtained a remand until July 27. "This young man is alleged to have had n hectic career over the North Island during the last month, during which it is further alleged that he converted to his own use about 12 other motor cars," said Senior Detective Hall. '"There will possibly be other chargcs preferred against him later."
