Result of the second round of the Mavson Barometer competition, held by the Grey Lynn Bowling Club:— Section A. —Donaldson (Grey Lynn), i'arsons (I'onsonby), 4 wins, 1 loss; de Luunity (Carlton), 3 wins, 2 losses; McMillan (Remuera), Livingstone (Oneliunga), 2 wins, 3 losses; Ilatton (Mount Albert), 5 losses. I'arsons beat Donaldson in the play-off. Section B. —Mason (Rawhiti), 4 wins, 1 loss; Boag (Hallyburton Johnstone), « wins, 2 losses; Casley (West End), Puddle (Grey Lynn), Rasper (Auckland), Maud (Edendale), 2 wins, 3 losses. Mason won the section.
The final, played yesterday afternoon, resulted:—Oswald, Russell, Rolfe, I'arsons 23, v. Scarborough, Thompson, Culpan. Mason 17. Special interest was attached to this final, as the I'onsonby skip's win brought his total victories in open tournaments up to a hundred, and lie was heartily congratulated by all present.
After the game, Mr. Snell (vice-presi-dent) officially congratulated A. I'arsons, who modestly replied and stated that he was more than pleased to have completed his century on the (Irey Lynn green, which, in liis opinion, would be second to none in Auckland. RAWHITI CLUB. Skips fo enter teams for the Rawhiti Bowling Club's tournament to be held on Tuesday, July 23: —Livingstone (Oneliunga), Hosking (Carlton), Little (Carlton), Jackson (Remuera), Gorton (Remuera), Donaldson (Grey Lynn), I'arsons (I'onsonby), Wood (Ellerslie), Mcßeggie (Mount Albert), Macplierson, Brown, Thomson, Savin (Rawhiti).
