EXHIBITION AT TAKAPUNA.
LIST OF SPECIAL AWARDS,
The North Shore Canary and Cage Bird Club held its lirst show at 1 akapuna to-day, many beautiful and rare birds being exhibited. The show was opened by the Mayor, Mr. .1. Guiniven, and the judges were Messrs. (J. Annon, J. Gilbert, S. J). Potter and R. Walker. The following special awards were made:— Kawlings Cup, for most points: G. S. Jowart ami K. Chambers, equal. Taylor Cup, lor best Norwich canary: 1\ J. Taylor. Binns Cup, for best novice Norwich : Mrs. E. Berquist. Best Yorkshire: \V. -\. .Moore. Best novice Yorkshire: C. Mahoney. Best lov.e bird: J. Ituwlings. lirst foreign lord : J. itawlings. Best budgerigar: Mrs. Minus. Best novice budgerigar: Mrs. Minus. Best British fineli : J. WV'A.vton. Best goldfinch: J. \V. Ayton. Best mule bird in sliow: Miss 11. Thome.
