Mrs. C. McGarrv, of Shaekleton Road, Mount Eden,.accompanied by her granddaughter, Miss Orna Green, returns from a visit to Napier to-morrow morning.
An influential committee was formed this week to further (he interests of the young violinist Leela Bloy, whom it is hoped to send to the Melbourne Conservatorium for a year's study. The ladies' committee comprises: The Mayoress, Mrs. Ernest Davis, Lady Horton. Mcsdames Kenneth Myers, A. E. Mulgan, W. \V. Averill, J. Macky, F. J. Gwvnne, F. W. Wilson, G. Fisher, E. H. B. Milsoui, Gillies Borrie, Victor Macky, Charles Nathan and Scott Wilson. A concert will be held in a fewweeks' time, when it is hoped to collect a substantial euni for this worthy cause.
