COLLISION WITH TRUCK.
MOTOR CYCLIST KILLED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. As the result of a motor cycle accident this afternoon, Otto Robert White, aged 17, son of Mr. Otto C. White, a hairdresser, of New Brighton, the rider of the machine, was killed, and his companion, Francis Beardsley, aged 18, of Lonsdale Street, New Brighton, who was pillion-riding, was badly injured.
The accident happened in Page's Road, ' the motor cycle the youths were riding crashing into the rear of a carrier's truck, owned by Mr. E. L. Smith and driven by Mr. William Anderson Barclay. x - White suffered severe head injuries and died within a few minutes of the accident. His companion was admitted to hospital.
