LONDON WOOL SALES. (Received 10 a.m.) LOXDOX, July 19. At tlio wool sales 10,528 bales were offered. including 4207 Xew Zealand. About 0372 Australian and New Zealand were sold. There was a good demand for all finer grades at steady rates, but Merinos were 5 per cent beiow the highest of the scries. Inferiors and faulty were irregular. Withdrawals were numerous. New Zealand scoured Merinos, Gienlyon, top price 24d, average 22% d: greasy halfbred, Takitu, 14d and 13% d. The Bank of Xew Zealand has received the following advice from its London ollice under date of the 19th instant: — Compared with opening rates greasy Merinos arc fully firm. The market is strong for greasy crossbreds, which are a half-penny dearer. There is a limited demand for scoured wools, which are one penny cheaper than opening rates. PRICES OF METALS.
