SEASON OF NEW PLAYS.

NELLIE BRAMLEY'S COMPANY. Miss Nellie Bramley, after an absence of some years from New Zealand, will bring her comedy company for a season at His Majesty's Theatre on Saturday next, commencing at the matinee. ihis talented actress is well remembered in the Dominion and her return will create no little interest. During the last few years Miss Bramley and her company have met with considerable success throughout Australia, playing for over a period of 300 weeks in the principal cities.

It is the intention of the management to present a play from the company's repertoire each week and the first production will be the sparkling American comedy "Scandal Mongers." This play was one of Broadway's pronounced successes and is still running in the States. The members of the company are all players of considerable experience on the stage and screen. John Cameron, who was released from the English comedy company then playing in Sydney in "Laburnum Grove" and was also leading man in "Grandad Rudd/' will play opposite Miss Bramley. Miss Noel Boyd, who was last in New Zealand with the "Let Us Be Gay" company, has scored many successes in Australian films and until recently was playing on the stage in "Nice Goings-on." Another member of the company who will be remembered in this country is Miss Nan Taylor, who toured with the "Wind and the Rain" company. Owen Ainley, an English comedian, has made a name for himself in "Tons of Money" and "Fair and Warmer," both of which plays will bo presented during the forthcoming season. Wilson Ewart, a popular baritone, will be heard in various numbers as a special feature of the programmes. Miss Jov Langridge, Miss Elizabeth Ramsay, Monerieff MeCallum, Stanley Holah avid William McGowan constitute the remainder of the company.

Box plans will opeu ou Wednesday at Lewis Eady, Ltd., and applications for preferential booking for the opening performance will be rcccivcc! at theatre prior to the. opening of the plan.
