LEAGUE OF MOTHERS.
TAKAPUNA. A well-attended meeting of the Takapuna branch of the League of Mothers was held at the Women's Memorial Hall, Takapuna, on Monday afternoon. Mrs. A. Reynolds presided. Mrs. Barraclough spoke on the aims and work of the Home Economics Association. Afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Von Stunner, Hay, Spears and Miss Ruth Jones. CITY BRANCH. The monthly meeting of tho city branch of the League of Mothers was held in the Airedale Street Mission Hall yesterday afternoon. The president, Mrs. P. A. Lindsay, presided. The Rev. R. Stowards gave an address on "An Old-time Mother Hannah," and Miss Nancy Gilmore eang several songs. Recitations were given by Miss Una Moore, and afternoon tea was served by members of the committee. KOHIMARAMA. On Monday afternoon in the Kohimarama Presbyterian Church the usual monthly meeting of the League of Mothers was held. The president, Mrs. Littlejohn, presided. Six new members were initiated. The speaker for the afternoon, Mr. C. E. Archibald, gave a talk on the work and method of working of the League of Nations. Items by Mrs. Riffell and Mrs. Lewis Eady were much appreciated by those present.
