LONDON, July 7.
The "Daily Herald" says negotiations are being completed for a £2,750,000 aircraft merger. The Armstrong-Siddc-ley Development Company, which controls Sir W. G. Armstrong-Whitworth Aircraic, Limited, A. V. Roe and Company, Limited, Armstrong-Siddeley Motors, Limited, and Air Service Training, is combining with Hawker Aircraft, Limited, which controls Gloster Aircraft, Limited, and is forming the Ilawker-Siddeley Aircraft Company ,to acquire all the Arrnstrong-Siddeloy share capital and 50 per cent of the Hawker's share capital. It will be the biggest aircraft combine in history.
AIR RACE FATALITY.
FRENCH SPEEDSTERS KILLED
(Received 11.30 a.m.) PARIS, July 7. The well-known racing airman, Captain Jacques Puget, and his companion, Lieutenant Qumgot, were killed in a crash at Angers during the annual 12hour race in which 12 'planes made acircuit of 25 miles for six hours, then flew 312 miles in the succeeding six hours. Captain Puget had landed to refuel but collided with a clump of trees on taking-off.
