MODEL AEROPLANES.
At the flight meeting of the Auckland Model Aeroplane Club held at Three Kinga last Saturday some spectacular flying was witnessed, and a good field turned out to contest the events. Results :— Balsa Glider, Hand-launched.—G. M. Perkins 1, L. K. Mayn 2, I.> ChinneryBrown 3. Fuselage, Rise off Ground.—L. R. Mayn, 1.18, 1; W. B. Mackley, 1.0, 2. Landing to the Flag.—Tj. R. Mayn, 6ft, 1; W. B. Mackley, 7ft, 2; R. E. Allen, 21ft, 3. The latest winners of the dual control flight donated by the Auckland Aero Club for monthly competition are P. R. Palmer, V. Gray, and L. R. Mayn. The- instructor at the club commented on the fino work being put in by the boys, some of the older ones making really promising pupils.
