CHILLED LAMB.

MEAT EXPORT TRADE. (By Telejrraph.—Own Correspondent.) WANGAXUI, this day. It is learned locally that Mr. J. Connolly, M.P., who is keenly interested in the meat export trade, is at present engaged in making investigations regarding the possibilities of New Zealand exporting chilled lamb as well as chilled beef. There is apparently no reason why this cannot be successfully accomplished, and a regular export trade built up, commencing with fat lambs in the Auckland district in October and following through to the later lambs in the South Island, the season-ending about July.
