Condemned Murderer's Appeal In England. THE RATTENBURY CASE. (Received 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 24. Ruling out the plea that Mrs. Rattenbury and her chauffeur, George Percy Stoner, should have been tried separately for the murder of the former's husband, the Lord Chief Justice, Lord Hewart, dismissed the appeal without hearing the Crown and without permitting Stoner to give evidence. Crowds stood in a queue for hours awaiting the result. Mrs. van der Elst, a wealthy social refornier wlio is leading a public campaign against the death sentence, sat with Stoner's counsel.
