MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS | CAMPAIGN. I Behind the Scenes in Christchurch. The scene was a large room in a house in Christchurch. Between 20 and 30 people were present. The convener of the meeting, in whose house it' was being held, had undertaken some organising work in connection with the municipal elections. Before he started to address the meeting he walked over to the mantelpiece, on which was standing a bottle of Baxter's Lung Preserver. He took a dose and remarked, "I have been in bed for the last, two days, and as I did not want to miss to-night's gathering I got the wife to get me some Baxter's' this morning, and here I am, feeling much better already." Bronchial colds are always bad at this time of the year, and there is no remedy that will give greater relief to such a cold as will "Baxter's." But do not wait until you are laid low. Start with "Baxter's" at the first sign of a cold. It does its, good work right away, not only clearing the cold right out of the system, but fortifying the <sy6tem to resist the ever-recurring attacks of the cold germ. Every chemist and store sells "Baxter's" in the 1/6, 2/6 and 4/6 family bottle. —(Ad.)
