PHILISTINES' CLUB.
The Philistines' Club held its fortnightly social gathering on Saturday evening in the Operatic Society's rooms, Grafton Road. The chairman for the evening was Mr. R. A. Singer. An enjoyable programme comprised songs by Mrs. Harold Owers and Mr. Laird, elocutionary numbers by Miss Joan Ross, Scotch humour by Mr. A. Dollar, and violin solos by Miss Isobcl Langlands. Dancing and supper concluded the enjoyable entertainment. Among those present were: Mesdames B. Gittos, Fisher, N. Bonham, Calame, A. Dollar, Duncan, W. J. Dallen, C. D. McLean, C. Clarke, J. W.
