ACCOUNTS FOB YEAR.
Amended estimates for 1935-30 were presented and adopted at a meeting today of the North Shore Boroughs Water Board. The estimates were first presented lit a. mooting of the hoard on April 12, and the. amendments made Qonipliod with the settlement of accounts with the Birkenhead Borough Council, which had arranged for a water supply from the city. The main ligurcs, with those for 1034-35 in parentheses, are: Estimated receipts, revenue due, £48 (£22); lovy of |d per 1000 gallons, £270 (£f)Sr>); total, £412 (£031). Estimated expenditure: Lake cleaning and troatment, £150 (£400): totals, £412 (£031).
Quantities of water pumped in 1934-35, with the amounts estimated to accrue from the levy during the present year, were: Devonport anil Takapuna, 21o,o9."),000 gallons. £22."); Northcote, 43,940,000, £40; Birkeuhcad, 8,703,000, nil.
