The Auckland Referees' Association met last evening, Mr. L. E. Bull presiding over a large attendance. The Point Chevalier Club thanked the referee in a sixth grade match for explaining certain points during the progress of the game. The resignation of Allen T. Lonergan was received with regret, the member having decided to play again. Several letters were dealt with from clubs seeking rulings or play interpretations, and a communication from a senior club was "not received" because of what was viewed as an unwarranted aspersion on a referee whose name was mentioned. The New Zealand Referees' Association advised that it upheld the appeal of a member suspended for two Saturdays tor failure to keep engagements, and suggested that the minute in the Auckland Association's books be expunged. The executive recommended that the minute be not expunged, as it was a record for the future. This created considerable discussion as t( the principle involved, some members considering that the minute, if allowed to stand, reflected upon the member. The executive's recommendation wns lost.

it was reported by the junior management delegate that the new Green Lane Club had entered three teams and that there was a likelihood of the club nominating a senior B grade team this week.

It was decided to request that in.connection ■ with fixtures at the Domain, the various ground numbers should be definitely given to facilitate the assembly of teams and punctuality in the starting of matches. '
