AMUSEMENTS.
MUNICIPAL BAND. An excellent recital by the Auckland Municipal Band in the Town Hall last night was much, enjoyed by a large audience. Cornet solos by a clever young New Zealander, John Robertson, revealed delightful tone and clever technique. He was repeatedly encored. Mr. Len. Barnes, who gave a fine rendering of "The Trumpet Shall Sound," with obligate? by Mr. Fred. Bowes, received a merited encore. Mr. Eric Waters was accompanist. A splendid programme was also given by the band in the Zoological Park yesterday afternoon.
