ONLOOKERS VIEWPOINT.
WRESTLING IN AUCKLAND. Commenting on the circumstances of last Monday's wrestling bout as having put the officials in the dilemma of having to over-ride their referee or displease the public. <-i correspondent, "Woke-Up," suggests that for all professional bouts the promoters should have in readiness emergency wrestlers to fill the breach in the event of matches ending early. He also suggests that those responsible for staging the bouts should "wake up" to the causes of recent poor patronage. . THE RUGBY REPS. A correspondent, "Grammaritc," writes: 'Like 'Goalpost' I would like to know what is wrong with Killeen, and, also, has the Auckland selector seen the Manukau fifteen play this season (excepting club day) ? For although they are second in the championship so far they have only a mere three players out of the 38 in training for the two Auckland rep. teams. Brimble (back), Constable and Trott (forwards) are. surely worth a trial. I venture to state that W. Brimble if given a chance would prove himself the best first five-eighths in Auckland."
