43750Z OF GOLD IN 17 DAYS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIIII. Thursday. The following Information has l> c , c , n , cabled to the London office of the W alhl Gold Mining Company :— For tho period prided May 11, comprising 171 crushing days, 14 741 tons of ore were crushed for a result of 437u tine ounces of gold and 20,050 fine ounces of silver This includes 1477 tons mined lrom the Grand .lunction area, which yiclUou :m fine ounces of gold, and 1133 line ouncos of sllvnr No 2 Level. —Kdward lode : Roach winze has been sunk a further 28ft in Rood «rade ore about 21ft wide. Vein at 10ft in Hooper crosscut : Driving has advanced west a further 38ft, the assay value over this distance being 18/3 a ton and the width of the lode about 2ft. No. 7 Level. —North branch of the Martha lode: Driving west the next 37ft assays 11/ a ton, and the next Oft is ore of good grade about lift wide.
