MUSIC AWARDS.
Advice lias been received by the Auckland secretary of Trinity College of Music, London, that two Auckland girls have won exhibitions. The college awards seven exhibitions for the North Island covering the different grades, and there are hundreds of candidates' in each grade. Dorothy Franchi won the higher local exhibition, and Nancy Francis won the advanced senior, both for pianoforte playing. The former has previously been awarded exhibitions for the intermediate and senior grades. The values of the exhibitions are £0 for the higher local, and £7 for the advanced senior.
