CITY MILK CONTROL.

LICENSES CANCELLED. The cancellation nf the licenses of six retailers who had failed to renew their licenses and pay their fees for the half year ended March 31 was decided on by the Metropolitan Milk Council at a meeting this morning. The distribution committee reported that none of the lieensres had appeared before it when requested to attend, nor had they paid their fees by May 17, as required. The committee also reported that in its opinion from October 1 next proprietors of i-hnps should be required to keep milk in a receptacle such as a refrigerator or ieo chest, to maintain it at a temperature of 50 degrees or lower. The committee decided that before recommending any definite regulations (is to the class of poods to be sold in the same shops as milk, it should inspect a number of what are classed as A and 1$ shops. The report was adopted.
