FLIGHT POSTPONED.

WEATHER UNFAVOURABLE.

TAKE-OFF TO-MORROW.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

NEW PLYMOUTH, this day.

The start of Sir Charles Kingsford Smith's trans-Tasnian jubilee air mail flight, which was to have taken place to-day, has been postponed till tomorrow morning, according to a cable which was received last evening by Mr. S. E. Nielson. The reason given is unfavourable weather over the Tasman Sea. Sir Charles proposes to make a daylight flight, which should mean that the aeroplanes Southern Cross and Faith in Australia will arrive at New Plymouth at approximately 8 p.m. to-morrow unless very adverse weather is encountered.

Sir Charles has fixed the time of the take-off from New Zealand for dawn on Monday, May 20 from Ninety-Mile Beach," and all air mail which reaches Auckland by Saturday can be included in the flight.
