Mr. S. L. rnterson, S.M., of Hamilton, is on a fortnight's leave. Mr. J. F. W. Dlckaon returned by tho Monowai yesterday from Sydney. Mr. Justice Nbrthcroft left for Wellington by the express tins afternoon. Mr. T. Jcphcoate, of Kaikohe, was a. passenger by tho Monowai yesterday afternoon. M*r. P. Hally, conciliation commissioner, left for the south by the express this afternoon. Mr. Eobert Sanders, of Lawrie Avenue, Parnell, leaves to-day by the. Aorangi for Sydney, en route to tho East. Captain J. E. Barrett, of Defeneo Headquarters, Wellington, and Mrs. Barrett, leave for Sydney by tho Aorangi to-day. Mr. A. C. Bushell, general manager of tho Farmers' Auctioneering Company, Limited, returned to Auckland by the Monowai yesterday afternoon. Mr. W. Maclean, chief commissioner of the Tasmanian Hydro-Electric Department, arrived by the Monowai yesterday afternoon on holiday. Mr. W. W. Bovker, chairman of tho British Neon Corporation, Limited, ana Mr. S. Tombs, manager of the company, returned from Sydney by the Monowai yesterday. Captain V. G. Webb, marine superintendent of the Union Steam Ship Company, and Mr. D. Campbell, repairs superintendent, leave by the Aorangi to-day for Sydney. Dr. Maurice S. Wells has been appointed assistant medical superintendent of the Whangarei Hospital, in succession to Dr. P. Brunette, who has been appointed medical superintendent of the Nelson Hospital. Mr. E. S. Hayhoc, managing-director of Perry, Leon and Hayhoc, Johannesburg agents of the Union Steam Ship Company, arrived by the Monowai yesterday, accompanied by Mrs. Hayhoe. They are at the Grand Hotel.
