PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The monthly meeting of tlie Plunket Society was held at headquarters recently, Mrs. Allan presiding. Before commencing a motion of sympathy was passed with Mrs. D. JCatlism and her daughter, Mrs. Sebag-Montwfiore.
Lady Sidey, of Dunedin, is visiting Auckland and attended the meeting; in the absence of Mrs. McGeorge, Lady Sidey is acting-president of the Dominion council, and Mrs. Allan expressed the pleasure of the Auckland committee in having her with them. Dotiationci towards the upkeep of Karitane were received from ithe branches at Dargaville, Franklin, Ruawai and Otahuhu.
A suggestion was made by the mother of a one-time Plunket baby, that the time was now opportune for the forming of a junior membership of ex-Plunket babies, paying a small subscription to the society.
The annual report was read by tlic secretary, and the date ;of the annual meeting fixed for Thursday, May 23. It was announced that entries closed this week tor the beautiful riunkct baby exhibition being hclfl in June, and photographs were pouring in to the rooms every day.
