THE FINAL COUNT.
CITY COUNCIL SEATS. XO MAJOR ALTERATION. The recount of the Auckland City Council votes has been finalised. The personnel of the council remains unchanged, but places of some of the successful members, as shown in the number of votes polled, are altered. Mr. J. Sayegh, Mr. E. J. Phelan and Mr. J. A. Mason are still in the first, second and third places respectively. Mr. A. Rosscr went from fifth to fourth place, changing places with Mr. W. T. Anderton, while Mr. .T. W. Yarnall changed •places with Mr. C. Bailey. Lower down the list changes were also made. Mr. J. T. Jennings went from twelfth to fifteenth place. Miss E. Melville from twentieth to eighteenth, and Mr. H. P. Burton from nineteenth to twentieth place. Mr. F. E, Lark, who had been in the 18th place, is now last on the successful list, replacing Mr. N. V. Douglas. T'he margin between the last successful candidate and the highest unsuccessful. Miss A. Bastcn. was reduced from 184 to 137 votes. Considering the fact that 33.482 votes were polled, the first count proved remarkably accurate.
