CITY COUNCIL LOANS.
RESOLUTIONS REVISED,
Formal revisions of certain resolutions passed by the Auckland City Council when the Victoria Arcade loan of £27,400 and the unemployment relief loan of £08,000 in two issues were raised last year were made at a special meeting of the council at noon to-day. The Mayor, Mr. G. W. Hutchison, presided over <*i council meeting for the last time. The Mayor explained that variations to the resolutions affecting the loans were purely formal. Part of the £08,000 unemployment loan had been for a 35year period, but that had not been acceptable to the investing public, and the money had now been raised on a 25-year term. Security for a special rate on the Victoria Arcade loan of £27,400 had been altered from 2-13 d to Jd.
Technical resolutions to conform with the revisions of former decisions of the council were passed without discussion.
