"Heartiest Salutations" of
His Holiness. DELEGATE'S GOOD WISHES. (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 11.30 a.m.) HOME, May 6. The Pope has sent a message to King George, offering his heartiest salutations on his 25 years' enlightened and beneficent rule over (ho peoples of the British Commonwealth, among which "millions of loyal Catholics will pray God to bless you and your Queen with length of days, happiness and success to your labours for peace and prosperity in the Realm." Dr. Filippo Berpardini, Apostolic Delegate to Australia, New Zealand and tho Pacific Islands, cabled to the Aus- j tralian Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, who is now in London, as follows: — "I beg you to convey to Their Majesties in my name, and in that of all the English-speaking Catholics in tho Apostolic delegation to Australia and New Zealand, sentiments of loyal devotion, warm congratulations and respectful best wishes." Mr. Lyons cabled to Dr. Bernardini: "The King is deeply touched with your message and has asked me to tender through you liis most grateful thanks to the Catholics of Australia and New Zealand for the loyal expression of their filing on this great, momentous dajc,'*
