BROWN BREAD.
A correspondent, over the above pen name, asks if anyone knows of a diabetic patient who "has used wholemeal bread, honey and brown sugar, consistently, over a period of years." These brown-breaders are affected by colour, and refuse to acknowledge that the white versus brown bread discussion has been examined by experts both in London and New Zealand and decided in favour of white bread in respect to nourishment and in favour of brown in respect to "roughage" only. The choice is made on personal grounds and without scientific bins.
