ON 'CHANGE.
WEEK CLOSES QUIETLY. BANKS RATHER DULL. GAS SHARES EASE SLIGHTLY. Bidding was irregular on the Auckland Stock Exchange for the, last call of the week. The banking section was dull. Commercials improved a little, with buyers up to 15/9 and sellers still asking 16/. New Zealands were quiet between £2 8/ and £2 8/9, and there were no quotations for Reserves. Insurances were steady at late rates. Auckland Gas shares eased slightly. A seller dropped down to £1 7/6, but buyers still remained at £1 7/. The timber section looked weak, with plenty of sellers and few buyers. Dunlops made a slight recovery from recent declines, and were quoted between 17/ and 17/3. In the mining section Waihis were from between £2 0/6 and £2 1/, and King Solomons from 3/10 to 4/1. Okavitos eased, with sellers at 7/4. Government stocks were firmly held, the only line on offer being a parcel of Rurala at £104. SALES COMPLETED.
