BLACKWATER MINES. Upturns from Blncßwator Mines for February are as follow: — Crushed 3.400 tons, yielding 1450 linn ounces of gold from sources, the value of which, taking sold at 142/ per fine ounce, was £10,331. Working expenses were £5470, leaving a working profit' of £4831. Capital expenditure was £S9O and development £077.1 Review of: development work carried out during (he montli: No. 10 level was extended south 42ft. No. 12 level was not driven during (lie month, the men being engaged rising at 2100 ft north, where average value of the reef exposed was lSJilwt and average width 30in, over Sift. Driving has now been resumed. The north shaft was sunk a further distance of 47ft. YIELDS OF COMPANIES. Stafford Dredging (West Coast).—Uooz. for ISO hours, from 13,010 cubic yards of material. King Solomon.—Week's return, OOoz 7dwt. Talisman Dubbo.—3SJ tons of ore were treated at the Golden Dawn battery for an actual return of £427. Golden Sands.—.'Ooz (idwt. 4.1 shifts, S hours each. Plant, being shifted. Will take eight to ten weeks. Charleston.—Fortnight ended March 9. 10oz lSilwt, for 17 shifts. Seven shifts lost through shortage of water.
