The chairman, Mr. Stanley Dean, states that he has been in touch with Mr. J. W. Collins, New Zealand Trade Commissioner in Canada, at present on furlough in this country. He had ascertained that Mr. Collins had discussed with S. Cabot, ex-Otago player now professor at one of the American colleges, the question of matches for the New Zealand team in New York. It was admitted that January would be the wrong , time of the year forgames there, but it might be possible to play down the eastern seaboard, at Washington and round about there. • Mr. Collins is going back eoon, and had said he would be very pleased to co-operate with Mr. Cabot, and also do all he could so far as the team's vieit to Canada is concerned. There again it would be the wrong time of the year for matches to be played at Toronto and Montreal, but the team would be able to play in British Columbia.
