TO-DAY IN CHRISTCHURCH. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Quotations were quiet but firm this morning. Reserve Bank recovered some of the lost ground with business at £6 10/6, and further buyer 3d behind. Commercials were weaker, and closed between 16/1 and 16/2. Miscellaneous stocks were more active than usual. Australian Iron and Steel preference had its first business this year, and Broken Hill made a sharp recovery of 1/, the market closing very firm, with buyers at the sales price and sellers at £2 11/5. Colonial Sugar, Neon (Sydney) and Electrolytic Zinc ordinary all quoted close without business resulting. Waxhi, following the rise in the price of gold, firmed to buyers and sellers at £2 1/3 and £2 2/ respectively. Lyells fluetuatad again, rising 2d this morning.
