MOTHERS' CLUB
' The usual meeting of the Mothers' Club was held on Tuesday, Mrs. Chas. Dickens, president, presiding. Mrs. Irwin, of Greenhitlie, gave a fine and lucid talk on "Finance," showing how it touched all parts of the world. Mrs. Dickens expressed thanks to the speaker. Mrs. Leitz rendered an elocutionary item, three new members were welcomed, and afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Baker, Lewis and Collier. The annual picnic was held on Saturday at Motuihi Island. A visit was mado to the Community Sunshine camp, under the direction of Mrs. Baker, members being greatly interested in the splendid arrangements made for the children's, comfort.
