TO SAVE WALKING.
Railway Engine Converted to His Own Use. WORKLESS FRENCHMAN'S ACT. (Received 11.30 a.m.) PARIS, February 26. Armand Longle, unemployed, who wag tramping to Paris in search of work, saw a driverless engine at AiJnove station. He jumped aboard and started off, but owing to his ignorance of the make he was only able to travel at a speed of two miles an hour. A wayside stationmaster jumped oil to the footplate, knocked Longle out, and reversed the engine into a siding, thus preventing a collision with the Paris express.
